Privacy Policy

In short: Fashiondle has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking cookies. On the website and in the Android and iOS apps your game progress is saved only on your own device. Inside Discord, if you sign in, your Daily results are shown to your channel and kept for 35 days. We never sell your personal information.

Who we are

Fashiondle is a free daily word game about fashion houses, available at fashiondle.com, as an Activity inside Discord, and as apps for Android and iOS. It is run by an independent developer ("we", "us"). You can reach us at eightyate0@gmail.com.

Information stored on your device

To remember your game, Fashiondle saves a small amount of data in your browser's local storage, on your device only:

• today's guesses, so you can continue where you left off;
• your statistics (games played, wins, streaks, guess distribution);
• your preferences (light or dark theme, hard mode, sound, word gaps, high-contrast colours).

This data is never sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for Fashiondle (or Discord's data, when playing inside Discord).

Information we do not collect

On the website we do not ask for, collect or store your name, email address, location or any other personal information. Inside Discord we only store what is described under “Playing inside Discord” below; we never access your messages, email or friends list. Fashiondle contains no advertising, analytics, fingerprinting or tracking cookies.

Hosting

The game is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any website host, Cloudflare processes basic technical information needed to deliver pages and protect the service from abuse — such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your request. This is handled under Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. We do not use this information to identify or profile you.

Playing inside Discord

When you play Fashiondle as a Discord Activity, Discord displays the game and routes its requests through Discord's own proxy.

Sign-in and shared results. Inside Discord, Fashiondle asks Discord for permission to see your basic profile (the identify permission: your user ID, username, display name and avatar). It cannot read your messages, email, servers or friends. When you finish the Daily puzzle, we store your result (number of guesses, win or loss, the coloured grid, the date) together with your Discord user ID, name and avatar and the channel you played in, and Fashiondle's bot shows it in a results message in that channel — like other daily-game Activities. A recap with the group's streak is posted the next day. Practice rounds are never posted.

These records are kept for 35 days and then deleted automatically; launch data used to post messages is deleted after one day. We use them only to show results in the channel where you played. If you decline the sign-in, you can still play, but your result won't be posted. To have your stored results removed sooner, contact us.

The Android and iOS apps

The Fashiondle apps contain the whole game and work offline. They have no account or sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and they never access your advertising ID, contacts, photos, location, camera or microphone.

• Your progress (today's guesses, statistics and preferences) is saved in the app's storage on your phone only. Your phone's own backup (Google or iCloud backup) may include it; that backup is controlled by you and your phone's provider, not by us. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage, deletes it.
• Daily reminder is off unless you turn it on in Settings. If you do, your phone asks for permission to show notifications and schedules the reminders itself; nothing is sent to us. You can turn it off in the game's Settings or your phone's settings at any time.
• Haptics use your phone's vibration for key taps; no data is involved.
• Links such as this policy open fashiondle.com in a browser window, where the Hosting section above applies.

Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play) handle downloads, purchases and any crash reports you agree to share with developers under their own privacy policies.

Sharing your results

When you press "Share result", Fashiondle copies a text summary (your coloured grid and score) to your clipboard or opens your device's share menu. Nothing is sent unless you choose to paste or share it yourself.

Fonts and other resources

All fonts, images and code are served directly from Fashiondle's own address. The game does not load content from third-party services while you play.

Children

Fashiondle is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required to use Discord in your country). We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Website players: we hold no personal data about you. Discord players: we hold the Discord results described above for 35 days; contact us to access or delete them sooner.

Changes to this policy

If we change how Fashiondle handles data, we will update this page and its effective date. Significant changes will be noted in the game.
